Chocolate Mousse Log

 Chocolate Mousse recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 200g (7oz) dark chocolate, chopped
  • 2 cups (480ml) heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, chocolate shavings, berries

Instructions:

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chopped dark chocolate in the microwave in short intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate using a double boiler.
  2. In a separate mixing bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream and granulated sugar until stiff peaks form. You can use an electric mixer or a whisk for this step.
  3. Fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream gently until fully combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
  4. Add the vanilla extract to the chocolate mixture and stir until incorporated.
  5. Transfer the chocolate mousse into individual serving glasses or a larger serving bowl. (I made this one by using a plastic bottle as a mould which I cut off when musse had hardened.)
  6. Chill the mousse in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to set.
  7. Before serving, you can top the chocolate mousse with additional whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or fresh berries for extra flair.
  8. Serve and enjoy the creamy and decadent Chocolate Mousse!

This recipe requires minimal effort and is perfect for a quick and delightful dessert that will impress your guests or satisfy your sweet cravings. Enjoy!
