A cheap and easy to make meal if friends or family come around unexpectedly: classic Club Sandwich is a delicious and satisfying sandwich that's perfect for a quick and tasty meal. Here's a recipe for the best Club Sandwich:
Ingredients:
- 12 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or multigrain)
- 8 slices cooked turkey or chicken breast
- 8 slices cooked bacon
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 2 ripe tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Toothpicks or long cocktail sticks (optional)
Instructions:
- Lay out the 12 slices of bread on a clean surface. Toast them if you prefer a warm sandwich.
- In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard together to make the spread for the sandwich.
- Spread the mayonnaise mixture on one side of each bread slice.
